The Role of Business in Creating a More Sustainable New York
Bradford Tito, Program Manager, Communities and Local Government
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)
Join us at the premier green business networking and educational forum where Brad Tito of NYSERDA will speak about the NYS Cleaner Greener Communities grant that was awarded to the Westchester Green Business program and where it fits into New York State's strategy for sustainable development, known as “Reforming the Energy Vision” (REV).
NYSERDA chose to support the expansion of the Westchester Green Business program after learning about the growing number of organizations that have adopted green business practices leading to operational excellence in Westchester County. You will learn why New York State views the program as a replicable model and how your organization stands to benefit from the program’s continued expansion.
The latest news on NYSERDA programs, including available funding and incentives for your business, will also be covered, in addition to an interactive Q&A and networking opportunities both before and after the program.

Westchester Green Business
Green business practices have become a mainstay of operational excellence for many Westchester companies. Westchester Green Business is the county’s premier program for promoting such sustainable initiatives. Launched in 2009, Westchester Green Business is a Business Council of Westchester program in partnership with Westchester County. The program helps local businesses learn about and implement sustainable practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and overhead costs, and receive recognition as corporate citizens. Westchester Green Business is the region’s only green business certification program for Westchester-based organizations ready to take their sustainability efforts to the next level.
