This workshop will bring together lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ+) people to:
Generate a dialogue in our community about the experiences, challenges, and benefits we have had while using social media as LGBTIQ+ people;
Discuss approaches, outlooks, and resources that can empower participants to express themselves and engage with communities through social media.
Workshop activities will help participants to reflect on their own social media use and gain insights into how others are using social media. The workshop will feature a panel of avid LGBTQ social media users who will share about their experiences and tackle your questions!
This workshop is for everyone - young and old, social media junkie or novice. Come and share about your social media experiences and learn from others.
