WeMake Workshop with Tanner Goods
Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM (PDT)
Portland, United States
Tanner Goods is a small team of craftsmen who produce beautiful modern leather products by hand that any outdoor enthusiast or trendy city slicker would appreciate. Located in Northeast Portland and the LeftBank Project, Tanner Goods skilful art utilizes the same tools that have been put to work for decades manufacturing leather goods.
Each piece is crafted from premium, domestically sourced material–English Bridle American leather and heavy weight 10-ounced waxed canvas (from the sole remaining textile mill in America that still produces this specific fabric), which is awesome.
We are super excited that they have opened up their doors for a private WeMake workshop. The night will start with food and drinks at The Sting Ray Cafe and then we’ll head over to the manufacturing studio where we will learn about the process Tanner Goods uses to create their collection of stunning wares. Everyone in attendance will have an opportunity to create either a awesome lanyard (step-by-step) or stamp a lovely leather red moleskin, (or both!) Space is limited so please be sure to register early.

When & Where
Born from the idea of creating a platform that fosters art and design within our community through hands-on experiences, discovery workshops and design in action inittiatives.
WeMake is an opportunity to let go and dive in with folks just like you. If you attend a WeMake event you’ve opened your self up to exploring…to being an adventurer and charting new territories. Or you’ve been here before and your honing and sharing what you already know.
