Description

Dear Chapter Members:

The AILA Santa Clara Valley Chapter’s Wellness Committee invites you to participate in the Chapter’s first ever “Wellness Retreat” on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at the Multifaith Sanctuary located in St. Joseph’s Hall at Santa Clara University. This event is FREE for AILA SCV Members, but please sign up at this Eventbrite link so we know how many people to expect.

This retreat will be a great way to reconnect with ourselves and each other, especially during these challenging times. A gentle yoga session will be led by Ritu Goswamy, followed by meditation, journaling and a short discussion. Please know that absolutely no experience is needed. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to move at their own pace. This is meant to be relaxing and fun!

No food or drink is permitted in the Sanctuary, but after the retreat, we will have the option to go out to lunch together at a nearby eatery.

Please wear comfortable clothing you can move around in. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one (or a large towel), and a journal (optional).

We will meet at 9:00 am at St. Joseph’s Hall (Building 102) in the Multifaith Sanctuary. Here is a link to a map of the Santa Clara University campus.https://www.scu.edu/map/index.php

For information about parking on campus, please visit https://university-operations.scu.edu//campus-safety/parking-and-transportation-services/parking-services/visitor-parking/.

Visitors also have the option of parking in the Leavey Center Lot for a period of 4 hours or the whole day by purchasing a permit from a Paystation in the Leavey Center Lot or the North Campus Parking Structure. A permit to park for 4 hours in the Leavey Center Lot costs $6, while parking for the whole day in the Leavey Center Lot or the North Campus Parking Structure costs $8.”
