This course provides key insights into the relationship between health and engagement in the arts. With this comprehensive course, become a more effective facilitator of art and movement activities geared towards people living with dementia. The Wellness & Movement Facilitator course will equip participants with the specialized knowledge and skills to begin leading small group Wellness & Movement activities for people living with dementia and cognitive change. Participants will also unlock access to content in ComMotion's resource library.

2 hour online workshop with interactive activities.

About the organizer

ComMotion - Community in Motion, a 501(c)3 non-profit, has the mission of building community and improving well-being through adaptive and inclusive movement. Founded by a cancer survivor and disabled veteran who experienced health and joy through dance and wanted to share it with others, ComMotion - Community in Motion has had more than 25,000 students of all ages & abilities, including veterans, cancer survivors, seniors, & children. Our programs are completely portable & adaptable to any space, allowing us to bring our classes directly to those we serve, eliminating a variety of barriers of access. We’ve taught in hundreds of locations, including hospitals, adult daycare, schools, churches, & parks. as well as virtually, both live and via on-demand video.
