Gemstones of the Breastplate presented by Dr. Christi-Bonds-Garrett
Dr. Christi Bonds-Garrett will share an informative and entertaining look at the history of the Breastplate and the gemstones it contained. We will review the 12 Tribes of Israel, how their lives and stories relate to the 12 Stones of the Breastplate as well as to essential oils! Besides presenting the history of the 12 Tribes of Israel and their Gemstones on the Breastplate of the High Priest, there will be associations of each Tribe with essential oils - and how/where to use them in anointing.
What are the 12 Gemstones of the Breastplate? Named in the 28th Chapter of the Book of Exodus, there is still much discussion about exactly which stones these were. What were their uses? Who was authorized to wear this sacred Breastplate? Can we learn from the wisdom of the past and apply it today?
