Qigong is the basis upon which Chinese medicine first developed. It entails learning to guide Qi (vital energy) through a series of movements, postures and focused mind activities. Zhineng Qigong is the world's most widely practised qigong, with millions of practitioners globally.
It lays equal emphasis on the body and the mind and involves both movement sequences and standing/seated meditation. The methods and exercises are simple to learn and relax the body and mind, relieving stress.
The most obvious benefits of Zhineng Qigong are an improvement in physical health and a sense of well-being. Its practice also has a powerful effect on the mind. Many practitioners are not only cured of illnesses and gain a better level of physical health, but improve their mental faculties and can use them to benefit both themselves and others.
