Whilst it can be the last thing on our list, our health and wellbeing are critical in order to have the energy, physical fitness and mindset to deliver every day, and to have endurance through the rollercoaster weeks that entrepreneurs often have. Our expert panel will discuss their challenges, solutions and everyday practices to achieving a healthy mental and physical state despite their demanding workloads.

Sue Pember
Director, Aussie Orientation Services

Rare Birds Ambassador Sue Pember is a passionate entrepreneur with over 15 years sales and consulting experience. In 2010 Sue opened Aussie Orientation Services – an Australian owned and operated Global Mobility Consultancy company that specialises in relocation programs, cultural training and ongoing support programs to ensure a smooth transition for workers and their families into Australian life. Through the success of Aussie, in 2013 Sue was awarded WA Today Female Entrepreneur of the Year and recognised as one of the top 40 under 40, also receiving the people’s choice award. She was also a WA region nominee for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

In 2015 Sue went on to co-found Mi Casa Property Boutique – an agency of talented working parents focused on the core values of people, passion and personal touch, to connect people and property. Sue is passionate about giving back to the community and in 2016 was appointed to the Board of Parkerville Children’s and Youth Care.


Kirstin Bouse
Clinical & Forensic Psychologist / Founder, The Conscious Mother & Life Resolutions

Kirstin Bouse is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with 20-years’ experience across clinical, forensic and corporate psychology. Kirstin owns Life Resolutions Morley and Wembley, has a team of 8 Psychologists and provides Internships for Masters and Doctoral students.

Combining her experiences as an ‘ambitious mother’ and psychologist, Kirstin works with women through the transition of motherhood. Her clients range from women experiencing perinatal anxiety or depression to Suite C executives finding it difficult to blend their professional and mothering worlds successfully. In 2016, Kirstin authored her book and founded her business; The Conscious Mother. She facilitates 4-day Breakthrough Retreats for ‘Ambitious Mothers’ and recently launched her first online program #motherhoodonline.

Tamara Smith
Director, 360 Environmental Pty Ltd

Tamara Smith is qualified in both Environmental Studies and Business, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Environment and Geography and a Masters in Leadership and Management. Tamara has been involved in the environmental field in Western Australia since 1997 and has worked in industry and state government, as well as in environmental consulting. She has been a Certified Environmental Practitioner under EIANZ since 2006.

Tamara is also a yoga teacher and an advocate for health and wellness in the workplace. She is proud to note that 360 Environmental has achieved a gold star rating from Healthier Workplaces WA.

Professor Alan Duncan
Director, Bankwest Curtin Economic Centre, Curtin University

Professor Alan Duncan is Director of the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre and Bankwest Professor of Economic Policy at Curtin University. Alan has published widely in academic and policy outlets of the highest international reputation and was awarded the prestigious Frisch Medal of the Econometric Society in 2000 for a paper published in the world-leading journal, Econometrica. Alan completed a DPhil in Economics at the University of York, and has served on senior advisory panels and boards for government and public sector organisations in the UK, Europe and Australia.
