The SVAM Center of Excellence (SVAM-CoE) is offering "Welding Inspection Training" course starting in February.

Course Description:

The Welding Inspection course is broken into three parts. Though much of the training will take place in a “classroom” setting, the training will require participation by individuals in an active learning environment. The course will be broken up into sessions of 3 to 4 hours meeting 2 nights a week for a total of 100 hours of interaction. Study of topics prior to class will be essential to assure that time spent in the group maximizes the reinforcement of topics. The primary focus during classroom time will be on discussion, interaction, and application of information studied prior to class. Students will be encouraged to share information and challenge the instructor. Online materials will be available for additional training including a question/answer forum for students to use during periods between class meetings. Students will be able to contact me any time with questions. Students may also come to the facility during periods in between classes for discussion or to use resources at SVAM-CoE.

If you, your welding inspector/supervisor or HR Manager have questions, please do not hesitate to contact the CoE at (276) 525-1400.
