If you have wondered about the following:

  • Who are refugees?

  • How does the refugee resettlement process work

  • Why welcome refugees?

  • What is the current state of refugee resettlement in the United States?

  • What impact has the travel ban had?

  • What can we, as a community, do to help?

Then join us for an engaging and informative dialogue about refugees and the refugee experience in Syracuse! There will be three opportunities to participate in this event. Please pick a date that is convenient for you:

September 21, 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

September 28, 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

October 5, 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Sessions will be held at InterFaith Works, 1010 James St., Syracuse N.Y. 13203 in the Room of Common Ground.

Each session will feature a video presentation; We are human, followed by an overview of the refugee resettlement process, current issues related to refugee resettlement, stories presented by New Americans, and a Q&A.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Seating is limited. Please register and get your tickets ahead of time.
