Class Description

Bringing the wonders of the Andes to you directly! In this class our Chef Instructor, Toya Terry, former cocinero at Astríd y Gastón in Lima, will introduce you to authentic Peruvian flavors and reveal to you the delicate balance of flavors---salty, spicy, sour, and sweet---that Lima-style cuisine encompasses. You'll learn what makes a fresh ceviche fresh, pucker-up to a refreshing Pisco Sour and bring home the sweetest Alfajor bites in H-town!



Menu

Ceviche Clásico ---Peruvian-style ceviche

Bonito Tuna & Avocado Causa ---Spicy potato starter with fresh seafood

Maracuyá Pisco Sour ---National drink, refreshing spirit for sipping

Lomo Saltado ---Marinated steak, vegetables and crispy potatoes

Alfajores ---Traditional shortbread dessert with dulce de leche


What to Expect

  • Class time is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours

  • Cooking groups of 2-3 persons

  • Hands-on techniques, class limited to 14 people

  • You will be standing for the class, wear comfortable shoes

  • Every student will get a generous portion of each course prepared
