As the Army continues to downsize many families are faced with an unexpected opportunity to transition from being a military family to a civilian family. While this change does present opportunities for both the soldier and the family often times there are unanswered questions resulting in additional stress and anxiety on the family.
If your family is in this situation come join Army Community Service (ACS) on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 1 – 3 pm as we address those concerns in our Welcome to Civilian Life Class. This class combines the information and resources available from multiple programs inside ACS including Relocation Readiness, Financial Readiness, and Soldier and Family Readiness.
Participants will receive valuable information providing answers to the most common questions received by ACS during this transisiton as well as handouts and additional reading materials to assist your family during this time.
Limited child care is available to children registered in CYSS at the ACS building by calling 719-526-4028. Parents must be registered for the class prior to reserving child care and children must bring their brown traveling folder with them for care to be provided.
In the case of a two hour delay due to inclement weather, classes will begin no earlier than 0930. Classes that begin later than 0930 will be held as scheduled.
If the roads on Fort Carson are closed, all classes scheduled for that day will be cancelled and rescheduled at a later date.
