A Little About the Film:
Wonder Women is the untold story of American Superheroines. Filmmaker Kristy Guevara-Flanagan explores the fascinating evolution and legacy of the iconic Wonder Woman character. From the birth of the comic book superheroine in the 1940s to the blockbusters of today, Wonder Women takes a look at how popular representations of powerful women often reflect society's anxieties about women's liberation-still an important issue today.
WONDER WOMEN! interviews actresses Lynda Carter and Lindsay Wagner, comic writers and artists, and real-life superheroines, political activists and feminists who offer an enlightening and entertaining counterpoint to the male-dominated superhero genre.
