Produced by the long-running independent performance series, The Inspired Word, which has featured Grammy winners, American Idol finalists, Golden Globe Award winners, Emmy nominated actors, and HBO Def Poetry stars, this open mic is open to ALL types of performing artists - comedians, poets, fiction/nonfiction writers, playwrights, spoken word artists, storytellers, performance artists, dancers. NO MUSIC.
25 performance slots, 7-minute time limit.

This is a very popular open mic. You can pay online or at the door, but we STRONGLY suggest you purchase a ticket in advance to guarantee a performance slot.
In addition to amazing coffee and pastries, red and white wine, as well as Astoria-based Single Cut beer, are available for purchase.
