Greenfingers: Habitat Restoration at McClellan Ranch Preserve
Who: Volunteers of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 require a signed waiver and children under 12 require an accompanying adult unless prior approval is obtained from the workday supervisor. Groups may contact Jeremy Merckling for their own special program dates/hours.
What: Volunteers help with habitat restoration work such as:
- Removing invasive plants
- Installing native plants
- Plus, this is a good opportunity to do a bit of wildlife watching and learn about our local native plants
Where: Meet near the main parking lot at McClellan Ranch Preserve, 22221 McClellan Road in Cupertino.
Parking: Please park in the dirt field accessed from McClellan Road on the other side of the creek from the main park entrance.
- A reusable water bottle
- Dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and long pants recommended)
- Minors under 18 must bring a waiver form signed by a parent
- We provide gloves and tools

We work to restore degraded habitats to promote healthier, more biologically diverse ecosystems, and use habitat restoration as a vehicle to educate and inspire adults and youth to understand and appreciate the natural world - both its beauty and the important services it provides.
