Alice will be sharing her origami wedding creations with you and show you how to make them yourself. To begin with you will learn how to master the basic origami folds and select the perfect paper using only premium types, including Japanese washi origami paper.
Origami really complements any wedding type and you will make some beautiful wedding stationery. This will include crane name cards or kawasaki roses to put next to table name cards. You will make origami butterflies, hearts, dahlias, fans and smaller versions of these that can be easily fixed onto your own wedding invitations.
The crane is a traditional Japanese symbol of happiness and good fortune and Alice made 1,000 of these for her own wedding. She will teach you how to construct and string up your origami cranes so that you can continue to make as many as you wish after the workshop!
There will be a small break during for you to enjoy some Japanese snacks and tea. Please let Alice know if you have any particular requests prior to the workshop and she’ll do her best to incorporate these into your class.
