Tickets are on sale now! We are thrilled to announce the sixth iteration of Women Engineers Code, the largest student-run Women in Computer Science conference in the United States. Join us in our effort to cultivate the next generation of technical leaders, foster a network and community among collegiate engineers, and promote more female representation in the technical industry. Date and Time: Friday, Feb 22, 2019 - Sunday, Feb 24, 2019. The only event on Friday is a mixer at night. Official registration and conference events begin on Saturday morning 9:00am and end Sunday evening at 5:00pm.

Location: Official conference registration is on Saturday morning in Harvard University Northwest Labs, 52 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.


Registration fee includes:

  • Admission to the Friday night social and Saturday evening mixer
  • Entrance to Saturday and Sunday of the conference
  • An opportunity to attend thought-provoking workshops, panels and talks about new initiatives to bridge the gender gap in tech, and new technologies that are changing the future
  • An opportunity to meet and network with other young women in tech as well as sponsor representatives from industry and academia
  • Two breakfasts and two lunches
  • A short-sleeve, super-soft WECode t-shirt
  • Lots of swag from our sponsor companies
  • Chance to attend the opportunities fair

All ticket purchases will be considered final after February 1, 2019.

Refunds will be provided up until February 1, 2019 and can be requested through Eventbrite.


Scholarship Application: Scholarships are offered on a need and merit-based model. Please put time and thought into your responses. Scholarship recipients will be announced on a rolling basis. However, it is in your best interest to apply early. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is Jan 5, 2019 at 11:59pm EST. Scholarship applicants must pay for their own Eventbrite tickets and travel arrangements. The scholarship award will then be reimbursed at the conference. However, if you are unable to pay upfront for the cost of the tickets, reach out to harvardwecode@gmail.com and we will set up a discount code for you.


Housing Request Application: We do not guarantee housing. We offer free first come, first serve housing by matching attendees with student hosts. If you live within an hour from Harvard, you will not be eligible for housing. Attendees who receive housing will be staying in the host's dorm. Please note that free housing is very limited. If you do not receive a host for housing, you will be responsible for finding your own housing for the duration of the stay. There are many options in the area.


Host a Student Application: If you are a current student in the Harvard-MIT-BU-Tufts area and would like to host an attendee, please apply here! Hosts will receive reimbursements for their WeCode Eventbrite ticket cost! Hosts must first purchase their Eventbrite tickets, which we will reimburse at the conference. If you would like a ticket, please register as soon as possible on Eventbrite. However, if you are unable to pay upfront for the cost of the tickets, reach out to harvardwecode@gmail.com and we will set up a discount code for you.

Who is welcome at WECode?

All genders are welcome at WECode! Everyone plays a role in supporting gender diversity. We also offer inclusive hosting with Harvard students. Please reach out to us at harvardwecode@gmail.com with any questions or special needs not addressed in our forms.


How do I get to Harvard?

The Northwest Labs is within walking distance of the Harvard Square stop on the Red Line of the T (Boston’s Subway). Parking spots, though few, are available in Harvard Square. A complete map of Harvard's campus can be found here.


What are the expenses for the conference?

Registration is $40 with several discounts available. We provide breakfast, lunch and plenty of snacks on both days. Dinner will be your own personal expense. Housing will be on a first come, first serve basis for students, and attendees will be matched with Harvard students free of charge.

Can I be reimbursed for travel?

If it would be a financial burden for you to attend, please apply for a scholarship here. Groups are especially encouraged to apply (please submit a single application).

Where will I live during the conference?

Just buy a ticket on Eventbrite and we'll send out info on how to send your resume to our database and get more updates on our programming soon!

Is attendance required for the entire conference?

We hope to see you both days, but if you can’t make it, we understand. There are no discounts for Saturday or Sunday only.

Can high schoolers attend WECode?

Unfortunately, we are not accepting high school students at this time as our conference focuses on undergraduate communities. However, we hope to see you in a few years!
