| Is "First Do No Harm" enough? One of the most important aspects of current healthcare delivery is the ability to provide quality and safe patient care. Healthcare providers and facilities face multiple challenges to defining, educating, implementing, and evaluating these standards in care. This webinar will address patient safety culture as a fundamental aspect of safe, high quality care, key concepts including Just Culture, human error, accountability and disruptive behavior.

The goal of this webinar is to educate participants about the relationship between collaboration and patient safety.
Upon completion, participants will be able to do the following:
1. Discuss the core value of all patient safety and of a Just Culture
2. Identify five behaviors leading to human error
3. Discuss the roles of accountability and responsibility in a collaborative culture
4. Identify five catalysts of disruptive behavior and five ways to diffuse disruptive behavior

Kate Bray has twenty plus years of experience in healthcare administration in a variety of settings including not-for-profit, corporate, military and municipal organizations. Kate is an educator for the Medical University of South Carolina and Trident systems in the Allied Health Program and also for the School of Business in community college settings. Ms. Bray has presented at many conference, workshops and for professional meetings. She has also addressed the graduates of Columbia College in 1993. Ms. Bray was a Commissioned officer in the United States Navy Reserve holding the rank of Commander (resigned in 1995).

Course Completion Requirements and Awarding Certificate
After listening to the webinar presentation, complete the course test online. With a score of 75% or better and completing the evaluation, you may immediately print your CE certificate of completion or save a pdf of it for your records. You may also request a copy to be sent to you by mail. If your score is less than the passing score of 75%, you may retake the test. In the event of loss, there is no charge for a replacement copy of a CE certificate.
