Smart cities understand that immigrants are key to a vibrant urban economy and regional economic growth. The challenge is how to attract and retain immigrant skill and talent in an increasingly competitive race to the top. How do we create a welcoming economy? How are smart cities making the business case for the economic opportunities that immigrants bring to the community at large, while fostering new opportunities for innovation and wealth creation?

Join Steve Tobocman, Executive Director of Global Detroit, for an online conversation for how we can revitalize regional economies through immigrant attraction and retention, employment, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and internationalization of cities, workplaces and institutions.  Interview hosted by Sarah Wayland, Project Lead of Global Hamilton.

This Welcoming Cities and Counties webinar is co-hosted by Cities of Migration and Welcoming America as part of a Welcoming Economies webinar series.

Technical Requirements: No cost to participate. You will need a computer with internet access and speakers.  Pre-test System Requirements.  Adobe Connect requires the Flash Player plugin, download version 11.9 or above to run.
