In the affordable housing industry, each program provides is governed by regulations regarding how to verify household eligibility characteristics in order to to qualify a household. For some affordable housing programs, the information to be verified is also a factors into the amount of rent the household will pay out of pocket as well as the amount of rental assistance, if available, to be paid on their the behalf of the household.
