But what does that mean for the bedside nurse? This webinar will help decode the NDNQI and give nurses resources to use this important data to help direct care and patient outcomes.

The goal of this webinar is to increase knowledge about using NDNQI
Upon completion, participants will be able to do the following:
1. Discuss the interrelatedness and importance of structure, process and outcome measures
2. Identify which measures in NDNQI are structure, process, and outcome as well as which ones to adjust to improve the outcome
Isis Montalvo is an award winning, outcomes driven healthcare executive with expertise in nursing quality, business management, program development, health care policy and education. In her role as Director, National Center for Nursing Quality at the American Nurses Association (ANA), she advocated for nursing quality and patient safety, provided measurement services in developing and reporting nursing measures, and facilitated collaborative learning on a national level. She provided strategic direction and oversight to the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators® (NDNQI®) for over eight years, leading program development and tripling hospital participation to over 2000 hospitals. She established and co-chaired the NDNQI Research Council and led the establishment and planning of ANA's Nursing Quality conference and quality educational offerings.

Course Completion Requirements and Awarding Certificate
After listening to the webinar presentation, complete the course test online. With a score of 75% or better and completing the evaluation, you may immediately print your CE certificate of completion or save a pdf of it for your records. You may also request a copy to be sent to you by mail. If your score is less than the passing score of 75%, you may retake the test. In the event of loss, there is no charge for a replacement copy of a CE certificate.
