Event description

Join us for the second webinar in our Leadership Communication series with GoldJam Creative!

Sharpen your Emotional IQ at Work

Emotional Intelligence is the number one driver of leadership and personal success. Research continues to support that those with high EQ tend to outperform those with high IQ! So why is this skill so often overlooked? In this webinar, we will:

  • Gain tools for breaking down and managing emotions so they propel you and your team forward, rather than hold you back.

  • Actively cultivate empathy and an ability to “read” others’ emotions.

  • Learn how to view emotionally fraught situations with objectivity, and practice the crucial skill of waiting before responding.

Join us for the rest of the series too!

Webinar #1: Public Speaking Tips to Nail Your Next Presentation (Encore)

January 22, 2020

Whether you’re pitching a new client, delivering meeting talking points to colleagues, or having an interpersonal conversation that makes you nervous, this webinar will give you the tools to connect with your audience. You will:

  • Learn proper stance, body language, and vocal techniques

  • Boost confidence and charisma

  • Understand presentation “pitfalls” and how to avoid them

  • Think outside the box to make presentations more exciting, engaging, and memorable

  • Cultivate strength and warmth to convey yourself as a commanding and approachable woman in the workplace

Webinar #2: Networking Made Easy

March 18, 2020

Networking can be a dreaded occasion for many professionals! While it can feel awkward or pushy, it is often necessary and mostly unavoidable. On the bright side, networking often leads to positive new opportunities, with 95% of professionals saying that face-to-face meetings are essential for long-term business relationships. In this webinar, you will learn:

  • How to craft an elevator pitch using connection, credibility, call-to-action;

  • How to begin and end conversations seamlessly;

  • How to leave a positive impression on others;

  • How to engage others.

This webinar series is led by the founders/lead instructors of GoldJam Creative, Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula. GoldJam Creative creates and customizes communication skills trainings for companies. Trainings are interactive and fun, pulling from a background in comedy and acting, and hard research. Topics range from public speaking to effective communication to tackling gender bias, and clients include Spotify, SoulCycle, Time Warner, Penguin Random House, and American Express. Jen and Alli are also comedians, who were ranked among the “top ten funniest women in NYC” and whose comedy projects have been featured in WIRED, Forbes, Newsweek, Vice, among others. They believe that people learn by doing rather than by being lectured, so they keep group sizes small, participants on their feet, and trainings high-energy and fun.
