Studies show that women are more likely to speak up for someone else, and have a harder time advocating for themselves. This webinar will focus on how to self-advocate and ask your work to pay for your professional development. Whether you want to attend a conference, sign up for a course, or work with a coach, knowing how to approach your manager can unlock money you didn’t know was available for you. You’ll learn why this works whether you’re in a well-resourced global organization or a scrappy start-up with no official budget for professional development. You’ll learn the top reasons why people don’t speak up, and how to overcome them. And, you’ll leave with a simple framework to help you transform insight into action and follow-through.

By the end of this webinar, you will learn how to…

  • Create a conversation roadmap so you know what to say
  • Clarify how to approach your manager so they want to say Yes
  • Connect your short-term learning goal with your big-picture career goal
  • Design a plan that works with your personality and taps into your authentic confidence
