Event description

Bike sharing services all over the world are increasing rapidly both in numbers and size.

As Donkey Republic, we represent the first independent bike share in Europe, that is a bike share service which provides bike share services without financial subsidies or any special agreements with public authorities.

The lack of regulation in this space prompted us to work on a fair and inclusive regulation of bike sharing systems in Europe. Therefore, we launched Cities for Bike Share (soon under, which advocates for a common framework of regulations for the benefit of all stakeholders.

In line with the topic, these are some of the questions we would like to address together with you:

  • What are the potential benefits and challenges created by an independant bike share service?

  • What are the key learnings from experiences so far?

  • How to best regulate Bike Share Systems for the benefit of all stakeholders in a City?

  • Which specific tools are recommendable from an operators perspective?

During the Webinar, we will first present to you our answers to the above questions. Afterwards, there will be an open debate and we encourage all the the participants to take part and join the discussion.

The Agenda will be following:

  1. Introduction and Cities for Bike Share presenting on the topic (30 min)

  2. Open discussion with the participants (30 min)

The event is expected to ended at 11:00 CET.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

You can contact us by email at:

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

We would prefer that the name on the ticket matches the person who attends so that we know all the participants, we can send them relevant material before the webinar begins and we can follow up with them individually afterwards.
