About this event

Tired of job hopping, career uncertainty, or job misery? Been thinking about a career change but not sure where to start? Whether you’re aiming to efficiently job search, improve your materials, decide on upskilling or further learning opportunities, or advance upwards, this all relies on having strong clarity on what career direction is the best fit for you. So often, we pursue career efforts without that clarity, and it can delay or derail our progress.

In this talk, Career Coach Rachel Serwetz will unblock the most common limiting mindsets and ensure you feel ready. We’ll then define the concept of and teach you the process of “career path exploration”, which is a novel, practical, step-by-step process of learning and reflection, to lead you to clarify your ideal role, industry, and work environment. With a clear sense of your best next step, your efforts will be intentional, efficient, and effective. Instead of gambling or guessing, you can have confidence that your next step will be the right one.

We’ll ensure you leave with an open-mind, an action and accountability plan, a strategic approach, and confidence that you are not only considering your next job, but your career path at large.

By the end of this event, you'll...

  • Unblock the most common limiting beliefs around careers, so that you make decisions from an informed place rather than out of fear
  • Understand the proven, novel process of career path exploration and how you can apply it to clarify your best next career direction
  • You’ll learn how to effectively learn, reflect, and pivot iteratively until you clarify your ideal, best fit role, industry, and environment.
  • Learn the three-part framework that will help you clarify each component of your next work opportunity
  • Understand the typical timeline to effectively explore and clarify one’s best-fit next career step and how to effectively apply the process yourself
  • Benefit from an interactive, guided, self-reflection exercise to start clarifying your natural affinities, the problems you care most about, and the work environment you thrive in
