Sherrie M. Vavrichek, LCSW-COvercoming BFRB Urges When Facing Interpersonal Stress
Monday December 10th, 2012
11:00am PT / 12:00pm MT  /  1:00pm CT  /2:00pm ET

What do you do when an interpersonal problem or conflict leaves you feeling frustrated, anxious, or confused? Some people cope by fighting with or avoiding the other person; some "tune out" by drinking alcohol, overeating, taking drugs, watching TV, or hiding under the covers. If you (or a loved one) struggle with a BFRB, you might find yourself pulling your hair out or picking at your skin. But it doesn't have to be that way!

Please join us for this timely "dealing with holiday stress" webinar and meet Sherrie Vavrichek, one of TLC's most well-respected and experienced presenters and the author of The Guide to Compassionate Assertiveness: How to Express Your Needs and Deal With Conflict While Keeping a Kind Heart. Learn how to respond to interpersonal conflict-- without picking or pulling--by using a cool head, an open heart, and more effective communication and negotiation skills. Ms. Vavrichek is also co-author of the popular cognitive-behavioral workbook for kids and teens that she wrote with Ruth Golomb, MEd, LCPC - The Hair Pulling "Habit" and You: How to Solve the Trichotillomania Puzzle, and has been treating hair pulling and skin picking for over 20 years as a clinician at the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington.  (

Attendance is limited to 80 participants.

48 hours before the event, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
