Event description

Description

Applications are now open for Chicken & Egg's Accelerator Lab! The Lab is focused on identifying and supporting women nonfiction directors working on their first or second feature-length documentary. The 10 projects selected for the 12-month program will receive a $35,000 grant that includes professional development meetings, workshops, and tailored mentorship from industry experts. It is an extension of Chicken & Egg Pictures' commitment to filmmakers whose artful and innovative storytelling catalyzes social change. The extraordinary work they've supported has won Emmys and Academy Awards, including Cameraperson (Kirsten Johnson), Motherland (Ramona Diaz), Dalya's Other Country (Julia Meltzer), (T)ERROR (Lyric Cabral and David Feliz Sutcliffe), 32 Pills: My Sister's Suicide (Hope Litkoff), After Tiller (Martha Shane and Lana Wilson), and many, many more.

Program Director Lucila Moctezuma joins us in a global webinar on Tuesday, June 27th from 4 to 6pm ET to discuss the scope of the organization, their initiatives, grants and awards and the upcoming deadline for the Accelerator Lab on July 10, 2017. She’ll carefully guide us through what they look for and how to make your project stand out!

**A copy of this webinar will be available to all registrants
