We invite you to dig deep into America’s largest public media enterprise and to join our conversation with the woman who oversees the core strands, including Frontline, Independent Lens and POV, Marie Nelson, Vice President, News & Public Affairs for PBS. Marie is responsible for collaborating with executive producers of acclaimed PBS news and public affairs series, as well as independent producers, to develop and direct innovative approaches to engage audiences in current events across these programs and platforms. The Great War, Ken Burns’ and Lynn Novick’s The Vietnam War, National Bird, I Am Not Your Negro, Trapped are some of the many award-winning documentaries and special programs funded through PBS and Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Marie will unpack the mysteries of the PBS system and answer your questions about how you can secure a national broadcast!
