Event description

As a career counselor and coach specializing in working with women in tech and career transition, I will not dispute that ageism is real and rampant. However, many people of all ages are experiencing rejections when applying for jobs, which is often a result of lacking keyword optimization on their resume and thereby not passing through the Applicant Tracking Software most companies use. You may have relocated or were too wrapped up in work and life to connect regularly with your network. We'll create a strategy to help you jump back in, because networks can be a key component of learning about opportunities in the tech industry.

It's important to have a well-stocked toolkit of job search resources and industry trends to optimize your job search strategy and give yourself the best chance of securing a new role that will be both satisfying AND a paycheck. In this webinar, I will help you take back some of the power in the job search process. I want you to attain a deep understanding of job search trends in tech, and get crystal clear on the impact you have made in your career roles and what expertise you contribute at work is key, so that you can convey this well thought out career story of yours to potential employers.

Questions we’ll answer:

  • How much experience should you have on your resume?

  • How do you emphasize your experience without signaling your age?

  • How long does it take to find a new role?

  • How do I deal with numerous short-tenure roles on my resume?

I look forward to seeing you there and helping you feel empowered to get to the next level in your career, no matter your age and stage in life.
