reviews the latest research on physical activity, exercise, resistance training, and health. We will explore the declining amount of daily physical activity in the world and what this means to our weight and health. We will examine research exploring the minimal amount of regular physical activity required as well as the role of weight lifting in health and successful aging.

The goal of this webinar is to provide healthcare professionals the most up to date research on physical activity, exercise, resistance training, and health.
Upon completion, participants will be able to do the following:
- Discuss the importance of physical activity as a public health issue. Describe the health implications of low physical activity levels.
- Utilize data from two (2) large clinical trials to support the benefits of adhering to a routine of regular physical activity, including the benefits related to body weight, heart disease, cancer and depression.
- Discuss motivation techniques and strategies to help patients overcome common. barriers to exercise and integrate and accumuluate physical activity in their daily lives.
- Discuss the role of weight lifting in health and successful aging.
