A lot of conversation goes into acknowledging that diversity in the tech industry is an issue, but few dig into the action-oriented solutions that we all can do to impact change. Join us in 2019 for a webinar series on how to create inclusive work spaces that welcome and embrace diversity on teams. Webinar 4: Real Teams, Real D&I Progress!

Getting started can seem overwhelming, but there is hope! Join us as we explore how teams have made the shift within their organization to prioritize inclusion and diversity from the ground up. Human Inclusive’s Lia James and Christopher Guest will moderate a discussion with four teams who have made an immense impact on their teams to explore how they’ve made it possible. Together we will learn:

  • How they got started and keep their teams accountable

  • What were their biggest challenges and hard-to-learn lessons

  • Best practices for getting everyone on board and start the process

Christopher Guest has a career that spans across a variety of industries; beginning in the arts, then through customer service, political campaign management, and now has found a home in tech. As a national talent specialist, he has traveled the US speaking on diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging and recently launched the podcast, Human Inclusive. He lives in Chicago with his partner and dog, and enjoys road trips, astrophotography, and board games.

Lia James is a Learning & Development consultant and co-Curator for Human Inclusive with over 10 years of experience in people development and personal branding. Lia works with teams to improve hiring strategies and skills development training. She has worked with close to 1,000 career changers and leaders to fine tune their brands through storytelling and goal aligning with a focus on advancing underrepresented folks in tech. Lia is a life-obsessed nomad with an affection for woodworking who recently traded her physical address for a suitcase.
