Description

Please note that this event is an online event.

Have you ever wondered if we are really teaching students in a way that resonates with them. What if it were possible to make improvements to your teaching that would prevent students from forgetting valuable course content?

Research on how the brain learns, specifically how it processes, retains, and retrieves information, is more bountiful than ever before. Researchers have even identified some specific teaching strategies that faculty can leverage to improve learning and transfer for students across academic disciplines.

In this webinar, you will learn about the research-based pedagogical strategies outlined in the text Make it Stick (Brown, P. C., McDaniel, M. A., & Roediger, H. L. (2014)) along with practical applications to use in your courses whether they are traditional, hybrid, or online.

Registration for University Center for Teaching and Learning workshops is mandatory. Registering for workshops ensures the distribution of pre-workshop materials and helps maintain the integrity of our attendance records.
