The existence of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies is widely known. It can be helpful for the healthcare community to know about the therapies that patients and their families may be utilizing. What are some complementary and alternative medicine interventions in use for ASD today? What does the research and evidence say regarding some CAM therapies?

Susan Taylor, Ph.D. is an internationally renowned teacher with in-depth knowledge of nutritional biochemistry and psychology and its application to the medical sciences. She has thirty years of experience investigating the role of diet, nutrition, and mindfulness in relation to the physiological and psychological mechanisms involved in depression, anxiety, fatigue, and lack of focus as stress related disorders and their involvement with metabolic pathologies such as cancer, pain, depression, and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Taylor has a strong track record with scientific publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Dr. Taylor is founder of a nationally acclaimed meditation specialist training and author of books and audio publications on nutritional psychology and meditation science.

: Nurses, Social Workers

Social Work Practice Level:  Intermediate

Course Completion Requirements and Awarding Certificate: After listening to the webinar presentation, complete the course test online. With a score of 75% or better and completing the evaluation, you may immediately print your CE certificate of completion or save a pdf of it for your records. You may also request a copy to be sent to you by mail. If your score is less than the passing score of 75%, you may retake the test. In the event of loss, there is no charge for a replacement copy of a CE certificate.

Jurisdictional Requirements: Continuing education licensing requirements vary by jurisdiction, are not well defined, and may change. We recommend you contact your licensing board or accrediting organization for the latest continuing education requirements of your state or territory.

  1. Complete the Webinar Pre-Registration Form above. You will then receive an email from EventBrite confirming that you registered for this webcast.
