The Psychology of Viewing Artwork -Live Presentation
Where do people typically look, in what order, and for how long in viewing a photograph or painting? The largest study ever done involving eye tracking and art can help to provide some answers! Also to be covered in this highly unique lecture that explores people’s unconscious response to art, how people feel about what they’re seeing thanks to using facial coding to capture and analyze responses. Hill will discuss topics like the power of faces, what kinds of composition often work best, and people’s reactions to color, implied motion, and the types of art-work titles that elicit the most pleasure.
