Event description
AGT+ is piloting its first interactive webinar while also connecting with others across the country.

About this Event

AGT+ is hosting its first webinar ever with three (or more) ~10-12 min. informal presentations followed by Q&A from remote (i.e., non-DC area) government science locations and a panel session on how AGT+ could connect more across the US. We'll be using Zoom (test your system at, and we're also looking for a venue in the DC area for anyone interested in gathering to watch on a large screen, so stay tuned for that. Signed up to talk thus far are the following:

  • Jim Lazorchak, PhD, will give us a virtual tour of his aquatic ecotoxicology lab at the Environmental Protection Agency's National Exposure Research Laboratory (NERL) in Cincinnati, OH, and tell us about his current "one health" partnering with human and animal health toxicologists and risk assessors;
  • Danielle Buttke, DVM/PhD, will talk about her position as the One Health Coordinator at the National Park Service (NPS), Fort Collins, Colorado;
  • Syed Imam, PhD, will describe the Food and Drug Administration's National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) in Jefferson, Arkansas, and his work in neurotoxicology; and
  • A representative from Toxicologists of African Origin (TAO), a special interest group of the Society of Toxicolgoy (SOT), will tell us about their national organization and how it has connected members across the US, including via a new webinar program.

If you’re interested in presenting too or know someone who might be, or you want to give a talk this fall at one of our regular Government Science Seminars or know someone who would, let us know by emailing
