About this Event

Alternative Data is a growing field in investment management. In this session the sources, processes, and impact alternative data has had will be introduced and discussed.

As a practical example of immediate interest, the discussion will move into how alternative data can be used to track the daily evolution of expectations around the US presidential elections:

  • How such an expectations index can be constructed
  • What kind of data it could use
  • What it could be telling us in regards to the coming election
  • What importance this has for investment decisions.

Osman Kilic, Director of Global Asset Management Education and professor from Quinnipiac University will then discuss foreign currency fund flow trends implication for the election.

CFA UK's Alternative Data Special Interest Group would like to thank Eagle Alpha for helping organise this and the referral of speakers.
