Weber's grill master (and frequent media personality) Jamie Purviance talks grilling in America and presents his new book, Weber's Greatest Hits -- 125 recipes for mastering the grill at home. Beer and grilled meats'n'veggies will be served!



Jamie Purviance might be one of the most oft-cited grilling experts out there today and rightfully so -- Jamie graduated from culinary school almost 30 years ago and today is Weber's (yes, that Weber's) grill master as well as an expert on barbecue.

He joins us at the store on Thursday, June 15, to discuss all the dirty (and glorious) details of outdoor cooking, especially the recipes in his newest book, Weber's Greatest Hits. This collection of 125 time-tested recipes was curated from an original list of over 2,000 Weber recipes perfected over the decades. Purviance has updated these picks for the modern, global chef and shares tips and tricks in the Top Ten Grilling Dos and Don'ts and Top 5 lists that each focus on different techniques for some of America's favorite foods to grill. There are tacos, baby back ribs, burgers, all kinds of vegetables, even cake!

Guests will enjoy some grilled meats and veggies, plus a cold brew or two, while we all learn from the master of the grill, Jamie Purviance. Take home a signed copy of this all-in-one grill bible and may you be the master of your own backyard!




Tickets for our talk with Jamie Purviance, including bites and beer, are $15. You can pre-order his book at a 20% discount ($22.04); it will also be available for sale on the day of the event at full price.

About the Author:

Chef and author Jamie Purviance graduated from Stanford with an English degree, but after a few years of teaching, he returned home to Philadelphia to be closer to family and attended the Culinary Institute of America. Since then, he has written for the likes of Bon Appétit, the Los Angeles Times Magazine, and Town & Country, and has appeared on Food Network, CNN, PBS and more. In addition to writing recipes for high-profile restauraunts and food companies, he has authored three cookbooks, including Weber's Way to Grill, a James Beard Award finalist. More than a food writer, Purviance has also been a guest chef at the James Beard House in New York City, and he frequently travels the country to teach at renowned cooking schools such as Johnson & Wales University and Sur La Table. He is certified by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and serves as a judge at major competitions, including the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational. He lives in the Bay Area.
