ABOUT:
If you are thinking of joining a coding bootcamp, or simply want to learn the fundamentals of Web Development, join us for our Web Development 101 course.

In this course, we will cover the basics of programming in JavaScript and the basic tools used by Web Developers.

The format will be 8 sessions of 4 hours. Each session will contain a 2 hour lecture, followed by a hands-on workshop.

Optional exercises will be given each session for students looking to further expand their knowledge.

CURRICULUM:
Day 1 - Setup & Tools
- IDE set up- Numbers and mathematical operators- Variables and assigning values- Strings and basic manipulations

Day 2 - Arrays, Functions Part 1, Loops Part 1
- Function declaration- Arguments inside functions- Using and manipulating arrays

Day 3 - Intro to if statements, Functions part 2, Loops part 2
- Using if statements in functions- Intro to recursion- Loops with arrays, basic recursion and if statements

Day 4 - Intro to objects
- Creating and using objects- Objects vs. arrays

Day 5 - HTML & CSS Basics Part 1
- Creating a static webpage with HTML & CSS- Using basic JavaScript for interactivity

Day 6 - HTML & CSS Basics Part 2
- Transform a design to HTML & CSS

Day 7 - Git and programmer tools
- Git and introduction to the command line- GitHub profile, forking, pull, commit, push...

Day 8 - Mini Project
- Building a love calculator
