Description

STEM Learning Labs - Wearable Technology Part 1

STEMPaths offers Wearable Technology Part 1

Wearable technology is transforming both the fashion and health biometrics industry. With this class you will learn the basic electronics and Arduino programming required to add sensors and programmable LEDs to your wearable projects. Through a hands-on project built in our lab, you will create a wearable device or fashion accessory that senses movement and responds with cool LED lighting.

Through hands-on projects you will also learn best practices for the life-long learning, collaborative knowledge sharing, and innovation exemplified by the maker culture for children ages 8 - 13.

Housed in our Learning Labs, students will experience Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through fun and engaging projects and developmentally appropriate activities. Our programs foster creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration while building self-esteem and confidence in the STEM subjects.
