Description

Wearable Poetry

Ever loved a poem so much you wanted to wear it? Join poet and Peach Mag editor in chief Rachelle Toarmino for a workshop exploring the relationship between what we say and what we wear. Participants will learn about the history of embroidery as a woman’s art of resistance as well as the contemporary ways we wear words, and leave the final session with a piece of clothing that showcases their own workshopped and embroidered micropoems.

Led by Rachel Toarmino, poet and editor
Just Buffalo Writing Center 4:30 - 5:30
Dates: December 4, 6, 11, & 13, 2018

This workshop is FREE, aimed at young students aged 12–18, and limited to 12 participants.
