Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM (EDT)
Add lights and electronics to garments and accessories with the Lilypad Arduino! This is a special version of the popular electronic controller specially designed to be washable. This workshop will give you hands-on experience with using the Lilypad Arduino. The goal is for each participant to leave with an item of their own creation. Materials will be provided for a headband or small purse; if you have a specific project in mind please contact the event organizer, we're more than happy to discuss it with you! Some new materials will also be demonstrated including fiberoptic lightpipe and various conductive fabrics & connectors.
Materials: Please bring a laptop computer. If you don't already have a Lilypad Arduino, a limited number of Lilypad Protosnap Development Boards will be available on-site so you can take your project home with you ($35). For advanced participants, other types of Lilypads may be available, please contact the organizer. Notes: Ages 8+ (A parent / guardian must remain in the classroom during the workshop).
