Event description
For community organizations, leaders, and students to engage women in the Census for greater community participation.

About this Event

Santa Clara County Office of the Census and the Women's Equality 2020 Leadership Council (WE2020) are hosting an informational session for community organizations, leaders, and students to gain knowledge on all things Census 2020. All Women Count! will highlight the importance of engaging women in the Census and their influence on communities and families to participate in the Census. Students can connect with community organizations/leaders on volunteer opportunities.

As we near the Centennial Celebration of the 19th amendment in August 2020, Santa Clara County will approach the next year as an opportunity to continue advocating for equal rights for ALL residents. The Women’s Equality 2020 Leadership Council was formed to champion democracy in the community and invite residents to support these efforts.

The Women’s Equality 2020 Leadership Council is a 46-member body which is committed to increasing women’s political equality and in protecting women’s suffrage by focusing on four key work group areas: Youth Engagement, Voter Engagement, Census Participation, and Centennial Celebration.
