We Okay?

We are getting together visual artists, arts workers, and independent art organisations to celebrate our successes over the past few difficult years, and to start some positive conversations on how we can support each other moving forward.

We will hear briefly from Depot Artspace, Arts Makers Aotearoa, and Samoa House Library about what support they offer artists and what initiatives they are developing. We welcome any others present to share too.

Then we will break into smaller groups to talk more closely about how we’re doing. The discussion and brainstorming sessions will be facilitated by Claudia Jowitt and Richard Orjis.

Pizza and drinks to wind down afterwards.

This event came about as a result of similar conversations we have been having with one another and many others in our communities all identifying ‘lack’. We hope this will be the first of many conversations and that the discussions and connections we make here will be the impetus of many projects, mentorships, and initiatives ongoing.
