Description

Juan Agustín Márquez is a 4x Emmy award-winning Puerto Rican filmmaker and TEDx Speaker. Drawing on excerpts from his film, The Last Colony, he will present his take on the impact of the Puerto Rican status question on the island's recovery from Hurricane Maria and ability to prepare for future disasters. He'll also talk about the importance of having diverse voices in the media and how he got his start making documentaries.
