2018 Winnebago County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner

February 15, 2018

Please join us for the annual Lincoln Day Dinner and fundraiser in Neenah, WI at the Bridgewood Resort and Conference Center to help support the WCRP and our Headquarters.

We will have a motivational message from Keynote Speaker, Jason Church.

We are expecting local, county, and state officials to attend. More information on those officials to be released soon.

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Social/Meet & Greet with local representatives

6:15 PM – Dinner

7:00 PM – Keynote Speakers & Special Guests

Raffles, silent auction, and a cash bar will be included.

Cost of Attendance: $50.00 per person

Bio on Jason Church

Jason Church was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on February 23, 1989. In 2007, he graduated from Menomonie High School in Menomonie, WI. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse in 2011 with a B.S. in political science. Jason was also a four-year letter winner in football and a cadet in the ROTC program. Upon graduation, Jason commissioned a Second Lieutenant (2LT) in the United States Army. 2LT Church completed Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Benning, GA. While stationed there, he graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School, Army Airborne School, and Stryker Leader Course.

Upon completion of his training, First Lieutenant (1LT) Church was assigned to unit based out of Fort Lewis, WA. In May 2012, 1LT Church deployed with this unit to Afghanistan.

On the August 23, 2012, in Panjwai’I (Pan-JA-Way) Afghanistan 1LT Church and nine other members of his platoon were involved in an IED explosion. The IED blast resulted in the amputation of both legs below the knee. 1LT Church went through 21 surgeries at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD., before receiving his prosthetics and going through the recovery process. 1LT Church was promoted to Captain and medically retired from the Army on July 31, 2014.

Jason graduated from Georgetown University with a Master of Arts from the School of Foreign Service and currently attends law school at the University of Wisconsin. He previously worked for U.S. Senator Ron Johnson and now is a field representative for the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs. Jason also serves on the board of directors for Sentinels of Freedom, a foundation to assist severely wounded post 9/11 veterans.

Captain Church (Ret.)’s military awards include the Purple Heart, GWOT medal, Army Commendation Medal, CIB, Airborne Parachutist Badge, and Ranger Tab. He received the 2014 NCAA Inspiration Award at the 2014 NCAA National Convention and was inducted into the Army ROTC National Hall of Fame in Ft. Knox, Kentucky last year.
