From frontline workers coping with the early days of the pandemic to the joyous celebrations from the Chicago Sky championship parade, we’ve been able to share some of the biggest news stories from the comfort of our homes, thanks in part to the power of photography. If you’ve ever wondered what goes into a great photo, we’ve got a night of visual storytelling for you.

Join us for an evening with WBEZ staff photographer, Manuel Martinez, and media archivist, Justine Tobiasz, as we recount some of the most powerful images of the past couple of years. Attendees will get a chance to hear a breakdown of the photojournalism process and be able to ask questions.

This event is for photography students, artists, photo hobbyists, journalists and WBEZ/NPR members and listeners.
