The mission of Friends of the Chicago River is to improve and protect the Chicago River system for people, plants, and animals.  Their vision is making the Chicago River one of the world's greatest metropolitan rivers.

Project Description

Volunteers will help to revive the Jimmy Thomas Nature Trail by removing litter, removing invasive plants, clearing trails/removing excess growth of vegetation to reestablish walking paths, and helping to stabilize canoe launch ramp.
