Wayside House Education Series Presents:
"Holiday Hope" Dealing With Grief During Tough Times
This training will explore the grief that often reoccurs at celebratory times of the year. We will talk about ways to include your loss/loved one(s) in a meaningful way, as well as potentially create new rituals. This is designed for clients as well as professionals.
Marsha Partington is a primary counselor at Wayside Wellness in St. Paul. Prior to joining the team, Marsha spent 2 years at the Pride Institute Residential treatment center working exclusively with LGBTQ clients, and ran a weekly Grief and Healing Group as well as a Transgender Support group. In an effort to become a “Trans* Specialist”, she completed an eight month training focusing on becoming a trans* culturally competent trainer. Marsha also has many years as a neo- natal certified grief counselor.
This activity has been approved by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy for 1.5 hours of Continued Education for licensed alcohol and drug counselors. Certificates of attendance are available.
This event is FREE and open to everyone, but please RSVP early as there is limited seating.
