Waypoint is London’s close-knit, adventure-loving crew for like-minded legends (20's - 40's). Big hikes, belly laughs, post-walk pints - and pushing yourself a little further each time.

Get ready for a solid day out in the Surrey Hills with good company, a few steep climbs, proper woodland, and a well-earned pint at the end.

We’ll set off from Holmwood village and wind our way through fields, farms, and quiet tracks before heading up into the woods. The hills aren’t huge, but they’ll make you work for it - and there’s always another one just when you think you’re done.

Our first stop is the Leith Hill Tower Café, perched on the highest point in South East England. Expect great views, coffee, and cake before we carry on through pine forests and muddy trails to our pub stop - The Plough Inn. How long we hang out at the pub is up to the group - the train station is still about 1.5 hours’ walk away, so we’ll decide together over a cheeky pint. When we’re ready, we’ll tackle the last stretch: mostly downhill through fields and farmland back to Holmwood Station, where we’ll say our goodbyes.

• Meet: 9:45am at Holmwood Station (train arrives 09:47am from London Victoria)
• Start: 10:00am sharp
• Finish: Around 4:00pm back at Holmwood Station (depending how long we linger at the pub)
• Return Trains: Hourly at half past
• Distance: 17km / 10.5 miles
• Time: About 6 hours total (5 hiking + breaks)
• Grade: Moderate – hilly with a few steep sections
• Route: Circular

Marcela – Adventurous soul who loves hiking, wild camping, scrambling, skiing, swimming, cycling, kayaking, horse riding, archery… and more. Based in London, she’s always chasing the outdoors or planning trips abroad. A qualified guide, she hosts hikes and adventure trips overseas. Dreamer, funny, confident, and a little stubborn - always up for a challenge.

🕙 Rough Schedule

• 9:45am – Meet at Holmwood Station (train arrives 09:47 from London Victoria)
• 10:00am – Set off (running late? Ping the WhatsApp group)
• Break 1 – Coffee & cake at Leith Hill Tower Café (20 mins) and/or picnic stop
• Break 2 – Pub stop at The Plough Inn (30–40 mins) — about 1.5 hours’ walk back to Holmwood Station afterwards
• 4:00pm – Arrive back at Holmwood Station
