Choose a fragrance from our candle library, learn how to blend wax and fragrance oil, wick your vessel, decorate it and create your own candle to take home to enjoy! We will guide you in creating soy wax candles, while you enjoy a complimentary mimosa, relaxing music, and socialize. Want to graze a little while your candle cures? We have Personal Cheese + Charcuterie boxes available as an add-on to your ticket. (Remember to add and purchase charcuterie boxes with ticket sale as boxes will not be available for purchase on the day of or during class!)

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Wax and Wine Workshop presented by Brixjo- GDL, LLC requires EACH individual to purchase a ticket. Only the attendee named on the individual ticket will be permitted. There will be NO REFUNDS for this workshop if you cancel (see FAQs for details). All attendees must wash hands upon entry and wear a mask unless eating/ drinking. This is a time sensitive workshop and will start promptly after 15 minute grace period as we must respect the time of the host and other attendees.

FAQs

• Do I need to bring anything with me to the event?

You and your ID, that's it. Ages 21+. All materials, candle making supplies, and alcoholic beverage are included in the ticket price.

• Can I purchase multiple tickets?

Yes, but tickets must be purchased individually. Only the attendee named on the individual ticket will be permitted with picture ID. Alcohol will be served. Must be at least 21 y/o to attend this event.

• Can I take my candle home with me?

Yes, your candle will be solid enough to take with you by the end of the class.

• What is the refund policy?

NO REFUNDS, if YOU cancel! NO REFUNDS, if YOU are late and the workshop has started. If the workshop is canceled, all attendees will be notified; however, refunds are not given if the workshop is rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control (COVID-19, weather, etc).

• What is the attire?

We know we're not the only one who thought about this. Chic and comfortable. Aprons will be provided.

Wax and Wine DMV reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during classes, workshops, and other events used for publicity materials and social media. Registration in events gives Wax & Wine DMV permission to use those images without further consent or compensation.

Participation in candle making events, workshops, candle making kits and other events/products is solely at the risk and liability of the individual [and their guest]. Due to the potentially dangerous nature of hot wax melters, dyes, & hot wax, it is the responsibility of the registering individual [and their guest] to ensure the proper placement of the individual with regard to the individual’s skill level.

Wax and Wine DMV and its employees cannot accept liability for any injury or damages that you [or your guest] may suffer related to premises of the event or participation in activities sponsored by Wax and Wine DMV. This includes but not limited to slip and falls on the premises. Every effort will be made by Wax and Wine DMV and its employees to ensure the safety of you [and your guest] while on the premises. ​

Candle Care Acknowledgment: Burn 3 hours at a time & away from flammable materials. To prevent smoking & soot buildup, keep wick centered and trimmed to 1/4'”. Keep out of drafts & away from children & pets. Do not move candle while burning or if wax is hot. Discontinue use when only ¼” of wax remains. Never leave a burning candle unattended. ​

I [and my guest/ ticket recipient] hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all rights and claims against WAX AND WINE DMV and staff for damages for personal injury, personal property, death or permanent total disability, which I [or my guests/ ticket recipient] may have or which may hereafter occur as a result of participation at WAX AND WINE DMV. This waiver is intended to discharge in advance WAX AND WINE from any and all liability arising out of or in connection with any part of the entireties of WAX AND WINE DMV. I [or my guest/ ticket recipient] understand that there are certain risks and hazards involving participation at Wax and Wine DMV candle making. Each participant will be engaging in activities that involve risk of potential injury, which might result not only from their own actions, inactions, or negligence, but the action, inaction, or negligence of others, or the condition of the premises or of any equipment used. Further that there may be other risks not known to us or not reasonably foreseeable at this time Wax and Wine DMV is not responsible for any accidents or incidents even those involving over consumption of alcohol or burns or slip and falls. Must be 21+ to consume alcohol. ​ I [and my guest/ ticket recipient] do hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all rights and claims against WAX AND WINE DMV, G.D.L. LLC for damages for personal injury, death, property damage which I may incur as a result of participation.

I acknowledge that I [and my guests/ ticket recipients] have read and that I [and my guests/ ticket recipients] understand the above provisions in this waiver and consent of liability, and agree to abide by them and sign of my own free will [and my guests/ ticket recipients have acknowledged]. I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim I [or my guests] may have against Wax and Wine DMV, its owners, and class/workshop Sponsor, for any injur y or damages that I [or my guests] may sustain as a result of participating in the program. I [and my guests] also acknowledge I [and my guests] have read the candle care instructions.
